SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) - The Utah Jazz can't seem to catch a break on the injury front.
Already shorthanded for the duration of the season so far, the Jazz saw leading scorer Carlos Boozer go down late in Wednesday's 105-94 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.
On Thursday MRI tests conducted on Boozer's left leg, confirmed that he suffered a strain of the left quadriceps tendon.
Boozer will travel with the team, but is doubtful to play on the Jazz's two-game road trip to San Antonio and Memphis.
With just under four minutes to play, Boozer went up for a rebound and landed awkwardly on his left leg. He left the floor and did not return.
Utah has already battled through the recurring absences of several of its key players. Star point guard Deron Williams - Boozer's teammate on the U.S. Olympic team over the summer - has missed 10 of 12 games with a sprained left ankle.
Forward Andrei Kirilenko missed two games with a finger injury, reserve forward Matt Harpring is still recovering from offseason ankle surgery and All-Star center Mehmet Okur recently has been hobbled by back spasms.
Boozer is only the latest casualty. The veteran power forward has averaged 20.5 points and 11.7 rebounds.

tough break for the Jazz. first, DWIll, now CBooz. one thing is good though, Millsap who happens to be in my FL team will have more playing time in CBooz's absence.
any news on Deng's injury and his availability in tomorrow's game against the GSW?
Utah Jazz All-Star power forward Carlos Boozer is underwent an MRI on his strained quad muscle this morning according to the Salt Lake Tribune.
Boozer's status for Friday night's game at San Antonio won't be known until the team gets the tests results later Thursday.
Boozer was injured with 3:55 left in the Jazz's 105-94 victory over Milwaukee on Wednesday night at EnergySolutions Arena. He scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds before hobbling off the court after a scramble for a loose ball.
Boozer's injury is the latest in an epidemic that has hit the Jazz since point guard Deron Williams suffered a sprained ankle in the next-to-last exhibition game Oct. 18 at Chicago.
