sana nga isama na sa Olympics yung Wushu. sayang yung pinanalo natin dun, di counted. teka, wala bang reward from the government yung athlete natin na naka-gold sa wushu?

A Cuban tae kwon do athlete committed one of the biggest breaches of sportsmanship at an Olympics, kicking a referee in the face in anger after he was disqualified from his match Saturday.
Ángel Valodia Matos, 31, charged at the referee, Chakir Chelbat of Sweden, after Chelbat disqualified him for taking too long in an injury timeout. Matos angrily pushed another judge, ran at Chelbat and kicked him, and spit on the mat as he was grabbed and ushered out of the arena by security.
Mas grabe pa ang ginawa niya kumpara sa weightlifter na binato ang bronze.
MANILA, Philippines – The efforts put up by the four-member Philippine wushu team will be amply rewarded when they are set to receive P1.5 million as incentive for their successful stint in the Beijing Olympics.
The Philippine wushu team went home with a gold, silver and two bronze medals that somehow lessen the pain of the country’s medal-less campaign in the regular Olympic events.
Wushu is just a special event in the Beijing Olympics and the medals won by Team Philippines are not counted in the medal tally.
Wushu Federation the Philippines (WFP) lifetime honorary president Francis Chan said the four-member team is set to receive P1 million from WFP honorary chairman and First Gentleman Mike Arroyo as cash reward.

buti naman ang nabiyayaan din ang mga athletes natin kahit pa di counted sa official medal tally yung mga pinanalo nila. it's still for our country's pride and honor so they all deserve to be rewarded.

sa alam ko dapat may significant numbers IOC member countries na naglalaro ng certain sports bago maging regular event sa olympics. next olympics they are scraping softball.
So far, ilang medal na ba ang nakuha natin from Olympics? yung alam ko yung kay Onyok lang pero Silver yun. wala pa tayong gold so far. Sayang, wala nanam this Olympic season. But sana Malacañang will still recognize the efforts of our athletes.
congrats dun sa mga nanalo sa WUSHU
bibigyan sila ng incentives, 500K, 300K and 100K respectively.
they are now negotiating to include wushu as an event sa olympics sa 2012 sa UK para counted na sya
Ganda pala ng opening, kahit may mga camera tricks e ok pa rin kasi ang gagaling ng mga performers e....
ASTIG talaga

i saw an episode of jay leno's late night show, he showed a box of cereal with phelps' photo in it and everyone applauded. he then said that the chinese women gymnastics team also has an endorsement.. then they give him a bag of diapers showing 'young' chinese gymnastics team.
