actually, mas safer ang diving than swimming... kse you have the oxygen tank with you and a lot of gadgets to help you monitor your density & breathing.... just make sure all of it are working!
Join an organized group dive by Diving enthusiasts in your province... it's a lot cheaper.
Hindi po Oxygen and laman ng SCUBA tank kundi ordinary Compressed air lang po ang ginagamit sa SCUBA diving...
hahaha! i did not realy want to correct this but it seems may nakapuna pala. that is correct, compressed air lang talaga ang nasa tank because your body can't breathe in pure oxygen when you're down deep at very high pressure.
also you don't have to concern yourself with your density (you're density is pretty much constant whether your underwater or not).... i think what red mohican means is that it's your tank pressure you need to monitor as well as your depth and the amount of time you have spent under water.
i haven't tried nitrox diving.... would try it out some day though.
